St. Ambrose Academy is a hybrid school that meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:45am-2:35pm. We offer flexibility in scheduling with the option for one or two classes, a half day up to two whole days depending on your availability. Job Description

Looking for a competent Program Coordinator to undertake and oversee a variety of program management tasks. The Program Coordinator will support administrative staff by helping with planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carrying out important operational duties.

To be an excellent program coordinator at Saint Ambrose Academy, you must be organized and detail-oriented, have excellent management skills, the ability to take initiative and experience working with children. In conjunction with Administration, create and nurture effective communication within the organization among staff, students and families.  

The Program Coordinator will work to help maintain a strong staff team and sense of community through open communication by collaborating on decision-making responsibilities. Additionally, initiate and set goals for programming, working to support program growth and development as necessary. 

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and coordination of the program and its activities in collaboration with Administrative staff. 
  • Ensure implementation of policies and practices
  • Help build positive relations within the team and external parties
  • Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda
  • Manage staff absences and substitutes, substitute schedules, and logging/documentation as needed
  • Coordinate with staff and students as well as run Orientation Days for Montessori & CGS, 
  • Collaborate with Administration regarding enrollment, acceptance, student waitlists & communications as needed 
  • Coordinate and oversee Open House(s)
  • Coordinate along with Administration Online Parent Information Night
  • Coordinate and help run Back-to-School Night
  • Manage students – behavior issues, discipline, and teacher concerns
  • Manage teacher concerns about students and communicate with parents as needed. 
  • Oversee staff: ensuring that weekly assignments are posted, curriculum requirements are being met, progress reports are being completed, communication with parents as needed, etc. 
  • FACTS – (Tuition program) set up for individual families and communications (August)
  • Organize Portfolio Evaluation Day/Fire Safety Day/Uniform & Book Swap/Sale
  • First pass class schedules and staff scheduling, coordinate with administration
  • Coordinate and communicate to staff Montessori & K Program class and dismissal transfers
  • Conduct Tours for interested families and potential staff
  • Coordinate Summer Projects – managing/organizing/volunteers/communication w/parish
  • Assist with staff training and recruitment

Requirements and skills

  • Knowledge of program management
  • Knowledge of budgeting, record keeping, and reporting
  • Proficient in MS Office, Training provided for FACTS, DocuSign, etc.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • Ability to address adults and children in a gentle but firm manner
  • Flexibility in daily responsibilities and problem-solving
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Experience in education is preferred

Science Teacher

Middle School science teacher

2nd Grade Teacher

We are looking to hire a lead teacher for our second 2nd grade classroom. Teacher certification is not required, but preferred. Experience with education, classroom management, and children is required. 

Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) Teacher/Substitutes

Plan and present IEW lessons to students (Grades 4-7). Duties include lesson planning, grading assignments and quizzes, and tracking students’ progress. Training provided. Note: Substitutes will be added to our ‘on call’ list and contacted as needed. 

Montessori Primary Aide Substitute(s)

Your responsibilities as a Montessori teacher assistant are to help the teacher prepare activities and lessons for the day, monitor children as they work and pray, and record observations and notes about student progress. Training Provided. 

Nursery Staff

We are in need of 2 nursery support staff members to work in coordination with our nursery lead. Staffing needed for Mondays & Wednesdays from 8:30-3:15 to provide dependable, safe, secure and nurturing care to the children, ages 0 through 3 years old. Clearances are required, previous experience preferred.  Note: Substitutes also needed, and would be added to our ‘on call’ list and contacted as needed. 

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – Lead Catechist – Levels II &  III

To listen to God with children (Grades 1-3 and/or Grades 4-6) within the prepared environment of the atrium so that children may fall more deeply in love with God.  Leads assist the children in the atrium, the Montessori-based environment we use for religious education: prepare activities and lessons for the day, monitor children as they work and pray, and record observations and notes about student progress, communicating with parents, Training Required, scholarships available.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – Aide – Level II & III

To support the Lead in order to listen to God with children (Grades 1-3 and/or Grades 4-6) within the prepared environment of the atrium so that children may fall more deeply in love with God. Lead assistants are to help the teacher prepare activities and lessons for the day, monitor children as they work and pray, and record observations and notes about student progress Training Provided.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – Lead Substitutes – Levels I through III

To step in as needed to substitute for the Lead in order to listen to God with children (Grades Prek – 6th Grade) within the prepared environment of the atrium so that children may fall more deeply in love with God. Training Provided/Required. 

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd – Aide Substitutes – Levels I through III

To step in as needed to substitute for the aid and support the Lead in order to listen to God with children (Grades Prek – 6th Grade) within the prepared environment of the atrium so that children may fall more deeply in love with God. Training Provided/Required. 

Hall Aids and Substitutes

Oversee and provide assistance to students as they make their way through the hallways; maintain order and assure students follow proper hallway etiquette. Note: Substitutes will be added to our ‘on call’ list and contacted as needed. 

Art Teacher & Substitutes (1st-4th and 4th-8th)

Provide instruction in a number of creative and challenging activities aimed at children in grades 1-4 and 5-8. Develop daily lesson plans and introduce students to a number of traditional art forms.

P.E. Teacher Substitute 

Taking on the lead of P.E. Teacher as needed. Responsible for organizing innovative games

and challenges that promote physical activity among all students from grades PreK-8.

Substitutes (All positions)

You will be added to our ‘on call’ list of substitutes (the subjects and grades of your choosing) who are able to fill-in for teachers or support staff positions.
